Sound like a good project. I would check out
www.fordcummins.com and call them they might have some advice on the chevy conversions. I know they are working on a kit for the Cummins to go into the Chevys. You can also pick up a complete Cummins 305hp/ 555tq from them.
Unless you have met that lying and crooked snake personally or had the misfortune of doing business with him, please do not flaunt his name around. He has several customers currently going after him in court for fraud. You are not doing anyone favors by offering him as a contact point. The pics on his site are rarely ever his own work. He has stolen the reputation from a very good friend of mine here in Montana who has been repowering with Cummins engines since the early 80's.
I am not one for slander or speaking poorly of anyone, but this crook needs to be blacklisted before someone else gets burned by him. Worst part of it all is he calls himself a preacher
Do not buy engines from him, you'll regret it, enough said.
If anyone wants documented names and contacts for references to his practices, feel free to ask, I will get a list of folks who are after him right now. Better yet, ask him for references on his work, the short list at best will speak for itself.
There is one shop in Montana doing cummins repowers, they are located in Great Falls, not Kalispell. If you search this site, you'll find their name. I am not going to sway this thread to make it look like I am favorign one over the other. This is purely due to the lack of ethics fordcummins has. He will be gone soon. The only thing keeping him going is the unknowing folks online who have no knowledge of him beyond pretty pictures on a website.
