I have buddy who has a 2002 2500 24v 6speed manual 4x4 and it is blowing white smoke and smeels really oily when he takes off in first or second, and stays white untill he is up to speed. A few years ago we put a 4" turbo back exhaust on it and it now has a hole just past the bend on the down pipe under the passenger seat, if it was round it would be the size of a nickel. Also a few years ago the Dodge dealer here replaced the # 5 piston. There is oil all around the oil filter, which makes me think it is a little loose, the exhaust manifold bolt nearest the fire wall was loose, and there is oil all under the truck. When I pulled the dipstick it was at least a qt or 1. 5 qt low!!

The truck sounds normal.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

Turbo?

Head gasket?

???

Thanks in advance!!
