2003 Automatic trans

One dealer says a "California" truck comes with the 48RE trans. Another says the 48RE only comes on the HO units, and "California" trucks have the 47RE. Can someone tell me the REAL story about this? Thanks.

I have a 2003 2500HD,4x4,SLT,CTD, and a 48RE transmission. I live here in Ca.
