Brother in law is looking at one with 9,000m on it for 18,600. Looking for input on these vehicles to help him out. Are they decent. I am afraid he will haul way more wood in it than it can safely carry but that is another story. Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks

Maybe he should consider using a two-axle trailer to haul firewood rather than the Dakota's bed (I'm assuming that's what you meant). He'd have a lot safer load capacity that way.

For that price, he could get a used Ram 2500 instead.

My wife has an '01 QC 4. 7 5spd. It's been really reliable and problem free. It's got 62k on it. I don't think it could haul a lot of anything though. Except groceries! It's geared so high. It does seem like it likes, or needs to be revved. Maybe some bombs are in order. Nah.

I don't think that price sounds too bad. It depends on how it's equipped.
