My friend has 2003 4x4 auto 78000 miles stock engine no mods other day went to pass car and truck shut off pulled over on left side of road engine crank no start. had towed to dealer ship they replace lift pump old one did not met flow requierments. truck still does not start, they further went through fuel system, removed lines and pulled 3 fuel tubes to injectors, found slight dicoloration, call my friend and said water damage no warranty. went down to to dealer ship and talk to them and inspect jumper tubes found slight discolor on tubes(I have a 02 H. O changed to 275 inj week before and my tubes look same, internal engine condisation it look like to me) tech at dealer ship had poor workmanship. left all lines off did not cover up tube holes and parts stuck in dirty bag. they tested fuel for water none in sample. truck i put lines and tube back together. turn key on pump buzz. hear injector hum truck has one code and its is for fan sol. open something like that. crack loose relief and no fuel comes out cranking try to look for that wire by a/c comp could not find. herd of other 2003 having problem need help truck is down. :(

Its fixed my friends 03 is running after many months down, (he has other mode of transportation). We decided to replace all injector tubes in head used info from tdr mag. to install. He then had it towed to another dealership. after talking with DXC they said if not happy with last dealership go to diffrent one. The second dealer had truck one day found bad CP3 and after abount $100 trucks fix under warranty and is back on ther road running great (except for trans (auto) that another story).

Glad it's back up and running. How did they find that the CP3 was bad. Did it show up on the scan tool? Or was it just that it did not pass fuel into the rail?

Not sure the details but I am think that they had no rail pressure on ther scan tool, indicating bad CP3 I would like one of the tools but they are $$$ for one that would read rail pressure. The new gauges they have for them would be nice additon for the cab. but my buddy on limited budget
