New PHORD???

Some Rams end up in broken homes....

---- Corection --- ( 2003 dodge crewcab 2500/3500 diesel, ) is there a discussion forum for this ? What auto show will we see it ?

Git me an aspirin!

Shoot! When I read your thread title, my heart skipped a beat. I thought you had found out something.

Ditto what cbconway said. The fact that Dodge so unthinkably stupid not to have real crew cabs is infuriating:mad:. I'm to the point where "PHURD" is the only option. Dodge needs to take a lesson from the boys at brand "F". I don't like much about their truck, but their crew cabs are nothing short of outstanding. All the room you could want. If those german idiots that took over DC ever realize that Americans are all about overkill, maybe they'll get smart and cater to the HUGE market for real crew cabs.

CAN YOU HEAR ME DIETER Z. ??????? wise up or lose out.

2003 Dodge Diesel

Thanks for the comebacks, Hopeing to see something at the Detroit Auto Show ,January 12th thru 21st, There seams to vary little interst in the 2003 dodge diesel. No Spy shots. Im wanting a new dodge diesel, perferably a crewcab , ?

Jim,

With the price difference of the PH>>>> CrewCab compaired to the Dodge CTD, why not buy the Dodge and have it stretched into a crewcab. Then you'd have the best of all - the best engine, the best truck, the best room. And watch those Ph&&& and CH### drivers' eyes pop out at you cruise right on by them in your Dodge CrewCab. And your total cost would probably still be less than theirs.

Just a thought.

I don't care if Dodge ever builds a crewcab? The Ford crewcab is ugly!!! Yes it has more room in the back seat area but not that much more room then out quad cabs. If you have an 8ft. bed then it is even longer then our long bed quad cabs, which are long enough (for me). I know everything is about choices and I am sure some of you want a crew cab so I am sure Dodge will build one if there is a good enough market for them. Plus I drive my Dodge, I don't sit in the back. Thats for the women, kids and the dogs :D

2003 trucks

here's a thought... ... ... how about a true heavy duty 2500 and 3500--different than the 1500. like phord does with the f150 and sooper dooties... ..... i'd like for my next truck to look different than the 1500... ... ... . but i'd still want a quad cab. i know a lot of folks want a true crew, and dodge is missing a significant market, if they don't supply??:(

That's the plan. The 2500/3500 will be on a different frame/have a different body than the new 1500. So everybody relax, the current "crew" cab is not representative of the future 2500/3500 "crew" cab.

has the right stuff, according to our G. M. The 2500/3500 will be on separate chassis from the 1500, and there will be a crew cab. One thing to note: the 2002 1500 four door is not considered by DC to be a crew cab. It is considered an extended cab. DC's new truck philosophy, as reported in the automotive press, is to build fewer models but saturate the market for each model that is offered. In other words, build high quality and target marketed vehicles with very attractive exclusive features for specific markets. Be the best in pickups and medium duties. Our Business link guy has seen pictures of the new bigger trucks, and says they are beautiful in every respect.

2003 dodge crewcab

Thanks for all the help & info, on the 2003 Dodge Diesel Crewcab discusion. Cant hardley wate. The Auto Shows are comeing up soon. keep up the good work, lets keep this discusion going.

Jim,

There should be something in January at the Detroit Auto Show on the new 2500-3500 trucks. I keep up with the automobile industry on the Detroit News web site. Try this address for the Detroit News, Automotive Section:

After the first of the year, there should be articles about the Detriot Auto Show. The Dodge anouncement of the '02 1500 series truck made headlines for several days. Hopefully, they will cover the 2500-3500 anouncement in a similar fashion.

no links on the source. This is pretty well protected info, and I am trusting the integrity of my sources. The thing I keep reminding myself of, is; DC wasn't born yesterday, and the statements by Dieter Zsetch concerning the future of Chrysler say a lot. The road to profitability lies in exceptional quality products in niche markets. According to our business link manager, the 2500/3500/4500/5500/trucks are going to hurt Ford and Chevrolet big time. I just want to believe that, as a lot of us do. Daimler can ill afford to lose their investment in Chrysler in the current auto market! For what it's worth, our parts department assistant manager told me that our aftermarket suppliers have informed us that the 2003 2500/3500 accessories are on hold untill released by DC. They are not identical to the 2002 1500.

I'm happy.....

On the links posted by Jack, I see the same grill and front valence underneath the camouflage as the 1500. The writer on the other site says the styling will be the same. Can't tell about the true Quad, tho.

I definately don't want an 80% quieter Cummins..... no fun.

Think I'll bolt up a custom order Denver Off-road on the front of mine, and hang on to this baby. I love my truck... ...
