2003 Dodge Ram 3500 SLT Crew Cab 4wd Dually w/ 5. 9 HO Cummins w/ 6 speed

I’m selling my Ram 3500 dually because we recently moved from Little Rock to Atlanta and it is no longer a practical vehicle. Also, I just sold my house in AR last week and have been waiting for that for 2 years so now it is time to try and get in on some end of the year incentives.

I am the original owner of the truck and purchased it new in 2003, for the purpose of pulling a toy box and dirt bikes, as well as being a daily driver. I did pull a modest travel trailer for 2 years @ ~10,000. She currently has 98,000 miles and she drives and runs great.

The truck has been diligently maintained since I bought it and I have all the maintenance and repair records. I’m including the original window sticker from the vehicle so folks can see what options it has on it. I just had both differential oil changed at 96,000.

I’ve added some special items like upgrading the front end with the newer model tie rods and lifetime greasable ball joints. Needless to say, she drives straight and true now and has ever since I made the mod around 70,000. You can look up my old post on the upgrade and why the hubs were replaced.

  • $132. 25 Steering kit--52122362AE
  • $96. 83 Steering stabilizer--52122370AA
  • $53. 07 Pitman Arm--68939930AA
  • $550 Carli uppers
  • $160 lowers (their heavy duty blue box, look like Moogs)
  • 2 new hub bearings

For convenience I added the following items for easy oil changes and quick gear oil changes:

  • EZ-DP-18MMPLA-DG - EZ Drain Plug
  • EZ-TUBE-DG – EZ Drain Tube
  • PML10361 – PML rear differential cover

She has a Linex bedliner and tinted windows, with a strip of tint along the top of the windshield so the sun stays off your legs. A husky toolbox and I just put 4 brand new Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac LT235/80R17’s on the rear. They have less than 1000 miles on them. They are great looking tires.

A year and a half ago I started the truck to warm her up and went inside and the emergency brake was not set all the way. She rolled down a driveway and into a couple of trees. This damaged the tailgate, the passenger side rear wheel well and the rear bumper. There is only cosmetic damage. I bought a cheap tailgate from Northern tools (do not recommend) and left everything else alone. The dash has a crack now and I have no explanation for it, apparently from the GA heat.

Because of the cosmetic damage I’m asking $16,000 for the truck. Please feel free to contact me via a PM if you have any questions or are interested.

Thanks,
Brian

Brian, PM sent. If you could PM me back your number and convenient times to contact you. My good friend is interested in your truck.
Thanks,
Bill Poe

Thank you everyone for the interest and to those members that passed on my information to friends.

I ended up actually making a deal with the Toyota dealer, shockingly, to trade in my truck. I took my truck to CarMax initially and they offered 11,000. I went to the toyota dealer and they offered 11,500. I passed on both and posted here. While several people contacted me and looked at my truck the Toyota dealer kept calling me back and upping the offer.

They eventually offered 15,000 and kept the 4,500 off MSRP discount on the Camry Hybrid for my wife. Also, because I am trading in Georgia the tax on the new car will be on the difference in price between the new car and my trade value, which equates to a savings of ~1000 @ 7%. So, I feel like I received the 16,000 I had hoped for.

I must say, the used car business is amazing right now. I have never had so many options on both buying and selling a vehicle. My humble advice, if your attempting to sell your truck is to be patient and shop around.
