2003 fog/highbeam mods

Does anybody have info on necessary modifications for highbeam with fog lamps for 2003?

From what I've been told and understand, we need to be very carefull playing around with the front lights in these trucks... . they are wired directly with the computer...

This was a very easy mod on my 01 with a simple jumper wire in place of the fog lamp relay in the Power distribution center. I sold that truck and now on my 04 it was one of the first mods I attempted as well. No luck so far as the contact is controlled by the dash switch / computer or both. It is a normally open contact. Jumping it now will turn on the lights 100% of the time. The contact closes on low fog and you can feel it click to open every time high beam is selected.



I too would like to figure this one out, but don't have a manual yet for the 04 so I can't re-engineer this one with the wiring schematics.

I think it's just a matter of changing a resistor or altering the contacts in the dimmer switch so the computer does the "optical horn" instead of hi beam.

I was afraid of never figuring out what on earth an "optical horn" was. But now i get it (I think). I just figure that the more i can see at night the better.
