Hello Everyone,

Just got a new to me 2003 dually 6spd and LOVE it!!!! The previous owner had an airdog 150 installed with the drawstraw in the top of the tank and the return in the filler neck... As most of you probably already know about, I'm experiencing the dreaded 1/4 tank issue..... I'd like to modify my fuel canister and install a 1/2 suction port and use the existing 3/8 feed for the airdog return line... Does anyone offer a kit to do this??? Vulcan diesel offers a complete modified fuel canister for a spendy 260. 00... . Thoroughbred diesel lists a Pure Flow Technologies kit to modify the existing fuel canister but lists it for 2005 and up trucks??? Does anyone know the difference between 2003 and 2005 canisters??? Will this kit work on my 2003??? It would be much cheaper for me to make my own kit, but I don't where to buy 1/2" flexible plastic tubing compatible with submersion in diesel fuel..... Sorry for the LONG post, but any help to put me in the right direction would be MUCH appreciated... .

Thanks

Ron

Thanks very much for your help... . Just got off the phone with Richard and he sure did hook me up with what I need and gave me some VERY useful advice of what I DON'T need..... A great guy to deal with...

That's what I intended on doing, but not sure what had to be done to the original fuel module??? The stock module was untouched, but the rest was hack butchered... . LOL... Thats why I want to straighten it out and do it the proper way, don't want any more 1/4 tank issues... . There's alot of posts on this but also much confusion on the best way of doing it... Seems to be lots of ways to skin this cat, but having previously owned 12 and 24 valve trucks, I'm a little green on the hpcr trucks..... Richard explained to me what my best course of action is and will be sending the parts I need to me... . Each generation of Dodge cummins seems to have its own pecularities to learn... . Little by little I'm learning... . :D

Your very Welcome! Richard's a wealth of information, and always willing to share it.

Please give details and pics if possible when finished as I have an AirDog on my 03 as well. I have to finish hooking it up this spring. Shadrach

Will give updates and pics probably in a few weeks... . I have a few other things to do first and hopefully will get to fix this sometime in april.....

Thanks
