Archived 2003 fuel tank module in 1996 truck

I have some leak issues with my 96 3500,,,seems to be comming form either the return line up near the tank module,,or the steel fittings the lines attach to on the module,,

While that may not be that much of an emergency,,,the people's driveways where i park seem to think so,,,

I have a spare set of new 96 fuel lines,,but i am wondering if i can use the 2003 module,,wich is plastic????

I know it's not exactly the same,,,doesn't have a vent line,,,but i could easily put a vent in...

Also,,does anyone know if the fuel sender in the 03 module work with the 96 one... ??

Anybody ever check that out???
