2003 HO ban in MASSACHUSETTS

I was at the dealer today having a fuel leak fixed and when the mechanic was done we started chatting. I said "doesn't it suck that MA. banned the sale of 2003 HO because of emisions". well I thought he was having a wacky fit when he started waving his arms all excitedOo. saying "MASS lowered the emisions on them and they already have some ordered"

I saw a post not long ago,can't find it but the member asked when did MASS_MAINE_CALIF ban them----WELL GOOD NEWS,THEIR BACKOo.





The dealer was Ira Dodge in Medford-GOOD DEALER

Incredible! Are you sure that's official? That opens up an entire state of dealerships for me to shop at... ...



I asked my local dealer here in Maine last week, point blank, if he foresaw Maine lifting the ban in 2003. He said the word he has is that the 2004 model year HO is approved due to its revised emission controls, but that the 2003 HOs will remain banned.



Could your MA dealer be talking about ordering 2004s?



Not trying to be too negative but I set my BS detector to maximum sensitivity when a dealer tells me something about the future. I sure hope you are right!

Hey OHale it's been a while! The mechanic I talked to is a diesel fan and their only diesel mechanic. So he was looking for a new HO as well. The salesman I deal with knows his trucks as well,But you never know. I trust them but then again who can you trust. When I get more info I'll get back to you

OK I'm glad I brought good news to HO fans in Mass but if Calif. lets the HO's back shouln't you be huggin your dog instead of kickin him? Thats supposed to be good news not bad news. You should be :-{} at the dealer not kickin your dog
