2003 long cranking time before starting.

Working on a 2003. Truck starts right up when cold. When its running at operating temperature and shut it off then try restarting it, it cranks but doesnt start for 10-15 seconds. Any ideas?

Had same issue, ended up being bad injectors. Take a look at the thread below, a lot of good ideas & trouble shooting ideas. Good luck.

I had the exact same problem as well. how many miles are on it? I wound up doing the injector return test and found 2 that were bad, changed them and its like a new truck.

It has 103k on it. That was my assumption at first but wanted to cover the basics first. Im a 2nd gen guy and know the ins and outs on them but not on the 5. 9 hpcr
