My 2003, with 295,000 miles, 6 spd manual, popped the code for a MAP sensor. Changed same. Code came back. Cleared code, came back several times. Check engine light sometimes goes away on it's own. Cleaned two connectors on engine with connector cleaner and light stayed gone for 5 days and came back. Anything else I can do other than change the sensor again? Put in OEM Cummins sensor updated P/N 3971106. Thanks for thoughts.

Usually not the sensor. Probably something else going on What's the exact code? Could be an intake/boost leak, injector leaking, or grid heater issue from my understanding

Sorry, Christmas got in the way. Nothing loose or leaking per above. One web site tied the code to the MAP sensor. Other software showed the MAP sensor as the part number for the turbo boost sensor. One web site says to try cleaning ECM connectors and OHMing out specific wires. If that does nothing, and no one else has anything, looking for a good diesel shop in the Jacksonville FL area.

Are you positive there are no boost leaks? Did you pressurize and check for bubbles or put smoke through the intake? Hit all connectors that you can with some dielectric grease. Monitor with odb and see what it's doing. Odb testers are cheap
