Loss of power and squealing noise

OK to use 5W-40 Valvoline Full Synthetic all year in Wisconsin?

2003, 245k. Cleaned engine bay and underneath. I can smell oil from in the cab. I removed plastic on top of
valve cover, found a big mouse nest. Removed filter and flushed. Oil looks like it may be leaking from oil drain tube, how do I remove this? it’s in a tight spot, thanks

That is a replaceable filter. Get a new one at Genos.
I would just do that and see how it goes. Do you have a lot of blowby?

Once the screw(s) are removed you need a pry bar or flathead to "pop" the CCV off of the valve cover from where it seals to the VC.
There is a large and thick O-ring that seals the CCV to the valve cover and it tends to dry out, flatten out and then eventually leak.
On early 3rd get trucks, the CCV itself is nothing more then a coarse 3m type sponge filter inside also with a few baffle that direct wet oil back to the block and fumes to the drain tube. While it is a fairly inexpensive part, as opposed to the CCV on later model trucks, it can in fact be cleaned by opening it up and reinstalling it with a new O-ring, in addition to cutting back the drain hoses and reattaching them with a zip tie to help seal them again. The hose connections also tend to dry out and leak over time, but cutting them back to fresh rubber and using a zip tie solvers the problem for another long interval.

There’s no blow by checked that before purchase. Did notice all the oil underneath though. Cleaned thoroughly and see it coming from the front, residue on the pumpkin. The CCV doesn’t seem like much but will get one

Not necessarily the result of excessive blow by, but simply normal use of the ISB results in oil dripping from the drip tube.
In addition to repairing or replacing the CCV, the oem drip tube can also be extended so it runs PAST the pumpkin.

Pull the air intake tube off and check your turbo for oil. Are you sure there is no oil coming out the breather tube? These trucks are notorious for broken piston rings right around the mileage you described. Also check the front crank seal at the vibration damper.

Geno's carries the breather, as well as the vent and drain lines, if that is the problem.
