2003 ram slips bad in 2nd gear!
It hasn't stranded me... yet. I suppose the stress of adding a 62/14 turbo and running on "performance" aka, level 2 of my tripledog for the past 3k miles has put a hurt on my probably stock 48re. i bought the truck with 96k miles on it and it seems to shift gears fine, it just revs and shifts mushy on the 1-2 shift. Converter still locks up tight, still hauls butt in first gear. I just hotrodded it a bit the other day and it hasn't felt right since. All i did was some full throttle auto downshifts, while passsing other traffic, torquemanagemnt was fully enabled, and it has amsoil in the transmission. I havent overheated it either. The thing just revs the engine without accelerating the truck in 2nd gear. I used manula override 2nd to check it out and all other gears work fine. Help! I don't want to destroy my transmission just yet! I have taken care to granny-drive it with the exttra power to save fuel. My truck is 4x4. Could it be a shift solenoid going out?
