2003 Service Manual, Volume 1 ?

I just recieved my '03 Service Manual, Volume 1. I thought I read somewhere on this forum that there were supposed to be 2 books. I, only, recieved one book. I may be wrong, but I thought the '04's have 2 books. Did You guys, with the '03's just get one book (Volume 1). The number on the edge of the book is DR 81-370-03059. Someone on this site recommended Tenafly Chrysler/Jeep in New Jersey. They had a sale on the manual for $100. The freight to Phoenix was $8. 65 for a total of $108. 65. The '03 FSM is indeed two volumes. Volume 1 is the entire manual, minus section 8W (the wiring diagrams). Volume 2 is just section 8W.

Do you have any idea how much Volume 2, 8W, is? Should it have come with the Volume 1, as a package? How necessary is it if you're not big on fixing electrical problems? Thank You, very much for your response and your help. Joe.

sorry guys there are three parts:

the two mentioned and a third titled "service manual supplement"

it covers the 47re

picked up all three as a single manual at dealer for $84. 70

You know you can buy the CD version of the manual on E-Bay for around $10. 00, and is has all the parts in it. Thats much better then $100. 00

Sorry but my computer does not fit under the hood and it is very difficult to fan through the cd because the crt is to thick and heavy to hold in one hand.

Oh: spend all day scrolling through the cd then try to remember how far back the other 4 pages of the schematic were.

I'm sorry but for me the printed manual is much easier and faster to use in, under or inside the vehicle than a laptop

03 manual is a 3 volume set.

True that paper is nice some times. But you can print off the CD just like pages out of the book, and when you get them all dirty you can just through them away and make more.



The CD is very easy to use, it is in a PDF format with a search function and idex to jump where you want to.
