Would You be Terrified Of This Guy ???

Bike has 1600 mi. on it, no damage. Sound like a good price? Sounds like a steal to me... . Maybe too good to be true. I'm considering buying a bike and leaning towards the Suzuki GSXR. Any opinions/suggestions are welcome.

THAT IS waaay too low for an 03. somethin's fishy.

KBB Says 7460. for it (Which translates to 8 large due to the start of the season. ) I bet it has a salvaged title.

I just sold my full polished 2000 ZX9R with a micron high pipe (Titanium rainbow) for $7400. 00 AND THATS A 2000.

EDIT:

I will try and run by the shop and look at athe NADA book (Real Deal)

Sounds fishy to me too. Maybe wrapped around a pole and rebuilt? Will Car-Fax show anything on that?

That reminds me... I need to get an ad in the paper for my bike. Time for it to go.

Cycletrader, Steve. I think it may be a scam. He says the bike is in Europe:rolleyes:. I have emailed the guy and he doesnt want to use an escrow service. Latest email reads-

"look... . i will send the bike to you via ship star service. . i will give you the tracking number... . also the phone number from them to call to verify that the bike was sent to you... once i send the bike i can`t stop the shippment i hope you know that... . also i will put a hold on in. . that meens that when the bike will arrive in US they will keep it in their wharehouse till i will release the hold... . after i send you the bike and provide you the track number and the phone number and after you call them and verify that the bike it is on it`s way to you, you will send me the money... after i will receive the money transfer details i will call them and release the hold in 1 minute... . it is ok with you?"

I told him no escrow service, no deal.

I would say "Fine, I'll pay you with a personal check drawing on an empty bank account. When the bike is IN MY DRIVEWAY AND IN GOOD CONDITION, I'll put the money in the account and you can cash your check. "

That's about how absurd his 'deal' sounds to me, anyways.

SCAM for sure - run, don't walk away from this! That's why I asked how you were hearing about this. I know a guy that buys bikes here and sends them to Europe for a healthy profit - but he says it could never happen the other way around.
