2003 transmission

Will the new transmission coming out in January be an option ,or

will it be the replacement.

I do not know if the "new" transmission reportably coming out after the first of next year will be a replacement or not, but I have driven a new 2003 with the 48RE, and it is a bit different than the 2002 models in the fact the TCC will stay engaged above 40MPH when removing pressure from the throttle and allowing the vehicle to coast. TCC will stay engaged until the speed of the vehicle reaches approximately 35 MPH. I was quite surprised!

on ordering the first of a new run.
