I would like to get a review from anyone that has had any of the 03 TSB's done. Your like's,dislikes, this fixed the problem,Oh! I wished I'd never let the dealership touch my truck. You get the picture. So let's have it, 03's only please. I have a couple I'm debating on, have done. Oo.

Sorry,

I've resisted the urge to revisit the dealership. Haven't been back since I bought the truck. I have been considering both the TSB on the pwr steering hose and the one on the window felts, but neither are really a problem.

Dave

I got the pwr steering hose TSB and have been very satisfied with the results. My vibration has subsided somewhat even before I got the TSB done, but now it is completely gone.

I have had the PS Hose, Transmission Cooling Line and Window Felt TSB's done; all with good results and am glad I had them done.

I had the alternator bracket, clutch rattle, ps hose tsb's done and was completely satisfied with the improvements. There was one reflash that was a recall as well. Satisfied with my truck and D/C so far.

I did the window felt and transmission cooler line myself, I DONOT like taking my truck to the dealer. I figure if I can get the parts for 100 dollars are less I will do it myself. It saves me time and I donot have to put up with any YO YOS at the dealers. WILDMAN

I guess I have been lucky, the service department at my dealer's know what they are doing. Personnally, I would not deal with an outfit that I didn't trust to perform mechanical work on my vehicle. Some of these dealerships are really lousy when it comes to customer satisfaction after they get your money. I have always said that it is the service department that sells the second vehicle.

I'm Like Lawdog1, I had PS hose, trans lines and window felts done all with good results. I like my dealer, The service mgr takes good care of my truck when there. He even told me the dealer he used to work at in Wash state took trucks over to BD for customers to get them turned up...

I got the ECM reprogrammed for Standard Tranni's with cruise control (code CO2) didn't have problems with that like some had.

I had the Alternator bracket replaced that was a no brainer the old one looked like it was ment for tempory use only the new looks up to the job.

I had the Power steering hose replaced with the waited one it help with the vibration But I still think there is a clamp needed on those hoses and will fabricate one in the near future.

I am going to have the gauges reflashed soon. I could ignore the blinks from the check engine light but now it has manifested into the low wash chime once a week and my bumper to bumper is going to be up soon. I have an apointment for Thursday. I have been putting this off because I have the RAZ radio and if you don't unplug it and pull the fuse on the ABS you toast the cluster something I DON"T WANT TO HAPPEN !

I will keep you posted

Thanks

Thanks for the replies so far. I too am a little leary to take my truck in for repairs that are not really life threating! ha ha. The felt TSB would not be a big deal an I could use that one due to some scratches on the tint. TSB-18-015-03 PCM Shift quality is the one that I'm really debating. I'm scared of a flash that it may contribute to other problems such as decrease in mileage. Also the TSB-24-004-03 Defrost door inoperative. I believe this one takes roughly over three hours to do an the taking apart of some dash components. I had my truck now a little over a year an half with no annoying rattles to speak of an would like to keep it that way a long as possible. Had the trans cooler lines done at one dealership an was a little disappointed at the service that trip, due to them failing to leave fluid level low an cab interior with trans fluid finger prints. Periodically checking alternator bracket an have failed to find a crack yet, my luck after warranty expires when I'll discover one. No problems so far with vibration where the ps hose would make a difference. Thanks again an keep um coming the good, bad,& the ugly. :)

2003 TSBs

My 2003 HO 6-speed has been running so good I haven't thought about any TSBs, nor have I been notified by the dealer that any exist. Where are they found? I'm reluctant to fix something that doesn't seem to be broke.

Hrmmm. thats interesting, how did you find out about that?

I had my cluster re-flashed and guess what. . ? It went blank and no way to retrieve the info or bring it back. Just so happened a DC rep was there on hand and tried himself to fix it but no-can-do.

It took a week to get another cluster :( and they wouldn't return it with no gauges/speedo etc. .

They had recorded the miles on the ticket when we brought it in so that was flashed to the new cluster but my hours was lost so I started over there.

On another note I had the trans cooler line done and the TCM connector resealed- that went ok and they blew off the alternator bracket so I did that one myself and DC paid for the part.

Jeremiah, you can find the tsb's here http://dodgeram.info/tsb/index.html . The dealer will not notify you about them because they are not a recalland do not effect all trucks. Are you getting out this way this summer?

Dean

Hey, thanks for the link. I'll check 'em out. We may or may not get to Connecticut (one "t" or two at the end?) this year. If we do it will probably be later on. Connie has week-long conferences in Denver (next week) and San Antonio in July. We're also trying to save our bucks for a trip to Rome and Malta next year.
