For those of you that have our XZillaraider modules installed on 2004. 5-2005 trucks we have an update. This is not an update that everyone will need so not everyone needs to jump in on this right now.

The first thing we want to do is take a handful of people with the issues listed below and make sure that we have the little issues completely exterminated.

What the fix is for:

Surging - especially at speeds above 75-80mph.

"Missing"- For people that felt they had a miss on the highway or with a load.

Codes 0251 & 0148 that are not legitimate.

Codes 0237,0234, 0192 that are not legitimate.

This appears to have fixed some of the CB issues, but we have a different fix we are working on for that. I am not sure why this fixes the CB problem, but on the local vehicles it seems to have stopped that gremlin as well.

If there is any problems that are not listed above please let me know because the update will most likely fix it.

For now if you have these problems and are willing to give us some feedback before we tell everyone to send the modules in, please send me a message on here. In the message tell me what you had for a problem and the details of your truck. I am only going to do a handful at first because I do not want to waste peoples time unless these things are 100% cured.

If you send me a message and do not get a responce, don't get mad. You may not have sent the message fast enough or we may have already had several with your symptoms. We want to spread this out amongst as many different things as we can.

Also if you have or have had a downloader installed we cannot guarantee that this fix will help anything. We have worked with some people on the issues with a downloader and there are just too many things that do not get returned to stock. Once we have the above issues resolved we will work on something with the downloaders.

We are always working on things to make our product better. OUR 2006 stuff is out and works flawlessly. We applied the things we learned on the 2006 truck to the 2004. 5-2005 trucks and so far they have fixed problems in every instance that we have tried.

We apologize for the inconvenience that a few of you have faced, but we will take care of them

Thanks,

Quad

0236 should not be a problem. I am not saying it can't happen, but it hasn't been an "issue". If you are having a problem we definately want to fix it, but I doubt this is the fix for that.

P0236Turbo Boost Sensor A Circuit Performance

I am not sure why you should get that. Have you ever run your truck with the wastegate blocked off and no module on it? When do you get the code or is it just in there. Has there ever been a DL on your truck?

I have had that code since June-July,shortly before I had surging issues with the box. Disconnecting- adding dialectric grease- reconnecting took care of the surging. A new tight wiring harness and switch would be nice though. Never have messed with the wastegate and truck never has set the ck engine light. There was a post on the D. T. R. where someone was having the same problem with an XZT box, said you guys re-flashed it and it took care of it?

I am getting the P0236 code on my 03 with the Xilleraider. I had it reset once and it came back on even though I had no hard runs or high boost situation. I have not done anything to the wastegate.

Just sent you an e-mail yesterday about that very issue.

Hope to hear from you soon.

I really love the fuel mileage increase with this module Oo.

Still waiting on the CB mod for the 03-04. Tired of killing my truck all the time and getting codes. (I use it for work)

You sent me a message about a Beta box coming out in a few weeks. I sent you an email requesting to be on the first of the list and what info you needed.

Still haven't heard back from you and it is been at least 2 weeks.

Love the box other than that.

Thanks,

Brian

Also was wondering if you plan on any other boxes in the future for the 305/555 trucks?

Thanks.

Yes we are. We have done a lot of work actually, but we are going to release the gauge before we do anything else. It is very close now.

Sounds good.

Hopefully though you will not follow the same path as the other vendors. I love my analog gauges and don't want to buy a guage kit, just to make the newer boxes work.

Quad,

Am very interested in purchasing a xzillaraider for my 04. 5. Would like to get ahold of one quickly! anyway, my question is, if I buy one now, will it have this upgrade you speak of?? What is my best source to get an up to date box... ... ?? Thanks for your time, am new to CTD's and want to play, for a reasonable price, and your crew seems to be the route I'd like to take.

QZilla I sent you a PM over on DTR about this problem with my race box on my 04. 5. (Patriot2500 is my name on there) PM me here or E-mail me and let me know what to do about the problem. Thanks

So far so good

Thanks qzilla, Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo.

It appears that you have fixed my problem. I've had it (the DXZT2 Module) re-enstalled for about a week now and I haven't had any more surging problems.

On another note, I removed my AFE pro guard 7 air filter and heat sheild, then re-installed my stock air box with mods. :D I took and drilled 6 (1-1/2") holes on the bottom and front of the filter box, and I am currently using my stock paper filter. The reason for this change is due to the fact that with the AFE filter I was constantly pulling the filter minder down into the red. I was thinking that this too could have contributed to surging issue I was having. Now, with this setup I'm using I can't move the filter minder.

Did anyone else that was experiencing the surging problem have an AFE pro guard 7 filter?
