2004.5 Auto Transmission shudder

I have an 04. 5 2500. The transmissions sometimes cant decide what gear it want to shift into. When it shift out of first it feels like it is jumping between second and third. It also does this when i have it in second, it jerks between the two gears. This only happends at light throttle never any other time. Any ideas?

Generally that is a governor solenoid transducer problem, frequently called shuttle shift. On your truck, you might try adjusting the TV cable and to see if that will eliminate it.

The TV cable hooks to the APPS bell crank, wherever that is located. Could be above the IP or under the drive side battery. The accelerator cable and TV cable all run to the APPS so you can trace them to there.



There is a clip right wqhere the cable mounts to a bracket that can be poped up to let the housing move back and forth. I usually set it so at WOT there is 1. 8 of an inch slack in the cable then adjust fom there.
