Thanks for clicking on the post. I have a 2004.5 2500 QC 4x4 5.9 6speed. 58,000ish original miles. I'm the original owner. I run 295/70-17 tires with a 2" KORE lift. The current issue which is getting worse by the mile is a vibration in the floorboard. It started to be noticeable at Hwy speeds while coasting and would go away under acceleration. It progressed to slower speeds, still coasting. Now 80 miles later, the vibration is very noticeable under breaking also. The truck does not pull right or left. There is not a sound to go along with the vibration. I just jacked it up and spun the wheels by hand....seemed fine. I grabbed the wheels and could not detected any abnormal movement that would point to a wheel bearing failure. I grabbed the front driveshaft and it seemed fine. This truck is a "seldom" daily driver and had not been "stored" for long periods. The tires are new-ish (1500 miles). Any thoughts or suggestions would be great. At this point I don't think it's safe for the Hwy.

Look at ALL of them. I had a crazy vibe I couldn’t find for months. I could’ve sworn on a stack of bibles it was the front right corner. Turned out to be a rear driveshaft u joint.

If everything looks tight, pull the front drive line (mark it first, and get a LONG T-40 Torx) and see if it changes anything. Grease it while it's out if you have the sticker under the hood indicating to lube at every oil change.
Also did you read The Rest of the Story in issue 108?

Is rear drive line two piece? If so if could be the center carrier bearing, which is a common issue.

I would look at tires and balance. You don't give an specs on them but they are the root of a lot of problems. The wrong tire will just keep on giving gremlins.

I removed the front driveshaft and tested. No difference. I will switch the tires around and see what happens. I have found that there are a ton of various posts on this issue. People have spent $$$$ replacing this and that. New front ends, driveshafts, tires, rims, and yet there is no clear smoking gun. The problem spans generations of these trucks, single rear tire, dual rear tire, manual trans, autos. It's crazy.
