Is there a solid consensus on which wire to hook the lights power to? I have found an orange wire with black tracer... seems to control the dimmer... but I can't seem to get the gauges to light up... I know they are wired right... used an alternate power source.

??? anybody?

Doug

I spliced into an orange with brown tracer I believe. If I remember right, there were 2 of them in the headlight swith wire bundle. The wires on my truck were all wrapped in shrink tube so it was kind of a pain in the arse to get to. I just kept testing the wires in the bundle with a 12 volt light, when I found the one I needed I spliced. The best advice I can give is to get yourself a 12 volt tester that is pinpointed to stab into wires with, worked great for me. Hope this helps.

got er done...

Thanks for the help. . I ended up taking the dash apart and trying both porange wires... ended up getting it all to work. I had the guts to tap my intake for the Boost gauge, but my EGT probe is still scaring me.

On a side note... the fuel pressure on my truck sits at around 8 PSI at idle... I suck it down to 4 on WOT runs... is that pretty standard?

I'd be more concerned with tapping the intake than the exhaust. Intakes suck things INTO the engine. Exhaust just blows them out!

i tap'd my intake too, but i took the whole intake horn off the truck. the gasket between the horn and the intake grids is a plastic/silicon type one, and i reused mine [it came off real easy and looked ok for reuse]
