2004.5 or a 2005

i bought my truck in december of 04 but how do i know if it is an 05 or an 04. 5. My sticker says it has the 600 motor if that helps but i have no idea which year i have. How do i tell?

The VIN has a code for the model year. Someone will post the decoder ring for it shortly.

if you have overdrive off button then you have 04. 5, if you only have tow/haul then you have an 05

I was thinking the 05 shows 610 and the 04. 5 is 600 in the T catagory. I beleive they went with plastic end caps on the enter cooler in 05. They also took dodge off the tailgate and put a Ram under the tailgate handle and the pusher pump fell in the tank in 05. But to be sure check the vin as stated above.

mine is an early 05 with the 600,plastic intercooler tanks,and in tank pump. my brothers 04. 5 is a 600 with alum tanks on the intercooler and the lift pump is on the fuel filter housing.

i believe i have a plastic intercooler and yeah i have the ram head under my tailgate handle and yeah i ihave tow/haul button which also acts as an o/d off button but when i hit the gas it upshifts back into 4th. So as of the remarks right now it looks like i have an 05 i mean hell my window sticker says 2005 but i didn't know. Oh well thanks guys.
