2004 diff fluid level

Has the "low diff fluid problem on delivery" problem occured on any 2004s?

I had to have the rear end in my '04 rebuilt at 778 miles. Dealer stated that it was gear lash... ... I would check the levels just to be sure.

I thought I had it bad when mine had to be replaced at 5500 miles and no towing. My truck was in the shop for 8 days while they replaced the whole rear end! I thought these trucks were HEAVY DUTY. It actually started howling at 3000 miles. and the first dealer I went to said it was normal. The second dealer said it was the "tuned" exhaust. :--)
