I checked my 2500 HO tonight and it has a block heater installed minus (-) the AC cord which has to be purchased separately. It is mounter in the engine on the left side (looking from Grill back) just behind the filter. Has a black rubber cap on it.



Part cost 36 from Dodge and 26 from Cummins + shipping.



By the way my gear lash was not set there was none which resulted in toasted gears in the rear end.
 
Can only go by what I was told? I did question the lube the Dealer assured me that the lube was fine. :-( I guess they are the ones that will know for sure. I am just happy that it is fixed.
 
Gear lash is a warrantable issue. DC would not pay for lack of lube, unless there was a leak. The head shed had already paid them 3 hours labor to PDI the truck which includes checking ALL lube levels.
