RV faucet keeps dripping???

RV parking cement pad question

Looking for just the GCVW (the combination rating for a truck and trailer) for my 2004. 5, std cab/long bed, 6 spd, 4. 10s, 4wd...

They used to include it in the owners manual, but have since taken it out... it had all the transmission/cab configuration/rear ratios listed for my 99, but the manual for this 2004 is useless... and dodge didn't place it on the truck, case-in-point, going by GAWR on the doorjamb, theoretically the truck is rated for a GVW of 11,200#s (GAWR front 5200, GAWR rear 6000), and only registered at 9k.

Someone should have this info posted somewhere... dodge.com's site is useless and tells me I can tow a 16,400# trailer, which I know is wrong... and at the same time they also state a 1500 can tow 500#s more (13,800) than a 2500 (13,300)... so that site is a bit flaky anyway.

Anyone know for sure what the dodge stated GCWR is? I am trying to figure out if towing a trailer with my slide-in on the back is going to be over on the rear axle or over GCVW...

Thanks,

steved

I can't give you the spec... . but we pull a 22K lb trailer with our 3500 dually... 6 speed and 4:10 rear end... we just had to go through the transmission... . truck has 235K miles. .

Power disc brakes on the trailer... . I know this isn't the answer your looking for... BTW we have no overheat problems... . but some AC problems across the desert when its over 110* driving into the sun... . the AC won't keep up... .

It will take some looking but you can find the 2005 specs here http://www.dodge.com/bodybuilder/

The max GCVW is 20,000 for a 2500 and the max for a 3500 23,000 the gear ratio does not mater in the GCVW in a 2500, only in the 3500 and it also depends on the trans.
