I fought DW for years. The thing that started it was when I put the Hummer rims and BFG 315's on it way back in like 05 or so.
Between the poorly designed track bar and factory steering box and linkage, the truck simply could not handle a change from stock.

Fast forward...

I found that the BFG tire sidewalls were a huge contributing factor since when I changed to heavy 10 ply 35's, the wobble had been much subdued.

Around that time I also added a Thuren track bar and Defiant dual stabilizer kit. Cost me $1000.

Never had DW again.

Fast Forward to today. 2008+ linkage drag link end wore out, stock steering box and pump shot and leaking. Thuren Track bar rod end shot.

So now, here is what's on the truck... .

Kore leveling springs and Bilstein 5100's
Drop blocks for front stabilizer bar.
Carli upper BJ's Spicer lowers.
35X12. 50R-17 Kumho Road Venture MT on Mickey Thompson Sidebiters.

Thuren track bar with an EMF premium rod end. EHS0. 875 EMF Rod End, Small 7/8" Shank [Ball Size:Regular Ball - 1. 2" Wide with 5/8" Hole] [Thread:Right-Hand]
This rod end required a larger hole and larger bolt.

Also on the truck frame end of the track bar I have the kit from Source Automotive that provides thick flame cut washers that you weld onto the bracket which adds more metal and eliminates the play.

This created a bulletproof assembled track bar "system"

Next, I replaced the steering box and PS pump with the new Delphi "Big Box" and a new 2008+ steering linkage.
Big post on that upgrade here. .

I got the truck aligned today. Been driving for a couple of weeks now. Highway and places where DW would occur.

Here's the thing. . I have not re-installed the Defiant dual stabilizer kit nor have I installed the stock stabilizer.
There is NO dampening at all.

NO DEATH WOBBLE. Never even shakes on those nasty bumps.

So I decided to go back to the stock steering dampener location and use the Bilstein 5100 33-170794
Putting that on tomorrow.

I'm pretty happy with how this all turned out.

I'm glad it all worked out, I have seen many DW cases stop when they got rid of the bfg's (yes I know many people on here have them and are happy with them for now) BUT an FYI the Defiant stabilizers are emulsion which I'd inferior to an IFP design like the Carli or Thuren ones, if you put a stabilizer back on I'd recommend one those .
