2004 Horse power ?

I found a 2004 in my area for sale. How may I tell if it has the H. O. engine or the standard output ? I remember an article in the magazine that listed all years and engines, I have had no luck on finding it.

It is stated on the drivers side of the valve cover. SO 250 HP, HO 305 hp, I believe there was a California 235 hp engine also. 04. 5+ years will have 325 hp.

Quicker than looking under the hood (maybe) is just opening the driver's door and looking at the build date. If after 1/1/04, it's 325/600. If prior, well, dig under the hood...

I believe that you can tell by looking at the valve cover, there is a sticker on the driver's side. The sticker will tell you the hp and the torque ratings. The early 04s will have the 305 hp engine and the later half of the year will be the 325 hp or the 600 engine.

As JJPage stated above the '04's came in three flavors, 235 hp low emissions, 250 hp SO, 305 hp HO, the HO also has the 11. 5" rear axle, the others will have the 10. 5".
