2004 ram 600 or 555?

my friend ordered a 2004 ram 2500 with the high output cummins in march from navy exchange new car sales. the dealer said it would be the 305hp and 555 motor but the dealer also said he never heard of the 325hp and 600 motor. we were just wondering if anyone would know what motor he got based on the build date which is 14APR2004. any information on this would be greatly appriciated. thanks

Usually dealers don't want you to know about something they can't get.



The reason I say that is at this point and time for a dealer to not know what the 600 is he's either clueless or lying.

I would be suspicious of a dealer that had never heard of the 600. Based on the build date I would be very surprised if it wasn't a 600. This build date is only about a week earlier then my 600 on order. Either way it will be a great truck.

The 305/555 does not meet 2004 emisions.
