2004 to a 2007 truck bed swap. Will it fit?

Asking for a friend.

Friend needs to replace the truck bed on a 2004 dually.
Will the bed from a 2007 dually fit?
Will all the electrical connections plug and play?

Not sure on the taillights plugging in but pretty sure everything will change over. May or may not have to use the old taillights.

Pretty sure the light plug is slightly different. I feel like I remember somebody talking about just a light swap and running into that.

I agree with other posters that it will fit. Just to be on the safe side I'd call a Chysler/Dodge/Ram representative. I've called them of occasions and find them to be friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable.

I don't know where you are your friend are located but I have a silver bed off an 03 I would sell for cheap if it would help or be better.

My truck is an early 07 and I put an 04 bed on it without any modifications other than the tail lights must be swapped. Your trucks wiring is reused as the tail light wiring is different.
