2004 with check engine light

Have a friend with a 2004, check engine light came on, when checking with the "key cycle" technique. The check engine light flashes ten times and that is it. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Try taking it to a NAPA, Auto Zone or O'Rielys, they will often read codes for free.
