Had the body shop fix the booboo on the bed and they took it ( the Bed ) off fixed the bed and put back on and then drove it to a spray on bed linner shop to finish the job... ... truck started and then died at the spray on shop when they went to move it. Cranks and cranks but will not fire,

Codes : 0628 fuel pump relay ciricut low

0335 crankshaft position sensor circuit

0036 crankshaft position sensor performance

2269 water in fuel condition

After thinking about it and looking at the codes could it be a fuse ?

They called and I went down and read the codes and drained a little fuel from the filter there seems to be fuel there, then they wanted to close. Tomorrow I'll try to get it going. . Anything else I should be looking at ?

I did a search and am sort of lost about the lift pump and how to tell if it is working or not ? Thought I would take the Van Akken out of the loop just to make sure it is not the problem.

Just got back from the spray on bed linner shop... ... Unpluged the VanAkken and the plug going into the ecm was corroded, a large number of the pins had the green guck that was touching each other. Unpluged the whole VanAkken and reinstalled the factory harness without the VanAkken. truck fired up and ran fine. Will take some pictures and send them to VanAkken and see if they can replace the harness between thier box and the factory plug.

CFollett,

Holy Smoly! That's wild there was so much corrosion in there! How long has the Van Aaken been on?

Glad you got it going without buying new parts.

Godspeed,
Trent

yeah that green corrosion is bad. I have experienced my share of water damaged cd players(jogging kind), cell phones, cameras and such. I finally figured out that if you scrap the green stuff off the electronics work again. This was all due to me dropping the stuff in the water while sailing, hiking, or something of that nature.

But it sounds like to me Van Aaken needs to revise their connectors to seal out elements
