BD Howler VGT Turbo Kit for 2004.5 - Anyone with Experience?

I have a minor leaky trans cooler line I need to replace

Drivers side front from radiator , top hose line section, about 12" long, one end male threaded, other end quick disconnect.

Looks like this #ad

Rock auto description: Dorman 624338 Trans cooler line
("Auxiliary Cooler Inlet (Upper); From Torque Converter Cooler Tube; Hose and Vacuum Valve")

https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog...l+turbocharged,1430810,transmission-automatic

Rock auto price $107.79 ? Dang ! Wow! why so much $$$$ $150 at autozone :eek::eek:

Anyone else replaced this line section?

.

I have a '05 48RE also, haven't had to change mine yet with 236k on the clock. May be the best hose and price you're going to find. I don't think Geno's has them.

you could probably go to the local hydraulic supply company and get a better hose fabbed out of aeroquip or stainless steel braided hose for less money..

I think that I would be pulling the hose, cutting the fittings off, and installing a new hose on the fittings!

Hardest part is getting to the dang think to remove it.
Looks like take the plastic inner-fender well out to get to it.

Quick disconnet end will need new o ring or what ever it uses , be better off spending hunert bucks on the new piece than fuging with cutting the fittings off and goober rigging it
