2005 CTD Warranty Transfer 2nd Owner

I am a new owner of a 2005 Quad Cab 4x4 Laramie. The truck only has 11k miles on it. I am wondering what type of warranty it has.

I heard that the 2006 warranty is only 3/36, but that 2005 had the 7/70 and it could be transfered but had to be done in 30 days of purchase.



Any help would be appreciated.

I recently purchased a 2004. 5 w/ 5,700 miles on the odometer. It came with a 7 yr/ 70,000 powertrain but I had to pay something like $200 to transfer the warranty. Call a dealership and they should be able to run the VIN and tell you if your truck qualifies. And it is true that you only have 30 days to make the transfer.

I went by the dealership today.

I could transfer it for $150. I figured that was a good buy if something major happened.

They told me the Cummins has 100k warranty

The truck powertrain has 7/70



I am very happy I did that, but you only have 30 days.



The 06 has dropped the warranty to only 3/36.
