2005 dies at idle

My friend has a 2005 3500 with manual trans. This truck dies at idle (like at a stop light). It always starts back up, but it's real annoying. Otherwise, the truck runs fine. It's strong when pulling their trailer, no smoke at idle or under load, idles smooth. It has had a new lift pump replaced under warranty, but the truck now has over 100K miles.

When was the last time the fuel filter was checked and/or changed? The only other think I can think of is maybe the FCA is bad.
