2005 fass install

Hi, I am trying to install my FASS on my 2005.



I have dropped the tank, but see no flat surface to drill for the pickup tube.



In the instructions, it appears they have cut away an outer shell of the tank on the top surface. Is that what it requires or, did you cut the hole in the circular flat portion of the tank right by the stock pickup assembly?

You can put it there... just make sure it will clear the cross member of the truck. The key is to get the tube as low to the bottom of the tank.



That pic (If you read the disclaimer about the pics at the very beginning) is of a Ford Tank. The Dodge is slightly different (No shell). Most are putting the STK where you mentioned.

HI Dan, thanks! I did mount the pickup in that flat spot.



Got the thing done today. After I purged it, It started right up and immediately I could tell it was idling much smoother.



I mounted it to a running board bracket. The bracket is as thick as the FASS frame and it is very high up in the fender well with great access to everything.



The bed bracket was double plated and there was no way I was going to drill through that easily. I am glad that I had that bracket on the running board. .
