I also put in the dual USB ports like you did. I use it mainly to charge my phone, and play USB music on rare occasions.

Also, there's some perspective differences in these photos.

My head unit (Stinger HEIGH10), shown above, has a 10 inch display.

@tjm's head unit (Kenwood DMX1037S) has a 10.1 inch display.

But due to how close the camera was to the screen, the DMX1037S looks to be huge compared to the HEIGH10; my pic was taken while sitting on the back seat and the HEIGH10 looks significantly smaller; I'm pretty sure that in reality they're both physically almost the same size.

Before you decide, make yourself a cardboard mock-up and see how it feels.
