i just upgraded from a 01 2500 quad 2x4 with auto trans. had gauges,hy-magtec transmission pan and diff cover, ez edge,4:10 gears, afe progaurd 7 mega filter. DTT trans and tow a 10 K fifth wheel.

Now i have a stock 2005 3500 4x4 6 speed manual, 3:73 gears, dually long bed.

I love it so far but was wondering if i can go to a Edge Ez or equivolent without effecting the clutch or other parts? I have a 100K extended warranty and want something i can take off so the dealer wont know about it if i need service.

Any thoughts ? or should i just leave it stock and be happy? I dont want to do much to this one, I think the wife will kill me this time. She hated the turbo whine one the last one and loves the fact she cant hear this one. I liked the whine , but you gotta make the boss happy.

First off the dealer will know if you put a box on. The info is stored in the computer. I won't get into the ethical argument, I'll just say if you play be prepared to pay. You should plan on becoming your own warranty station. Now which transmission do you have NV5600 or G56 the G56 has reverse to the left and down. If you have the G56 an dual mass flywheel, then the jury is out on what this clutch and transmission will take. If you have the NV5600 Bombs away it'll take it.

And some are still on lots, yes.

Stay tuned to my thread about South Bend Clutch and my G-56. By mid-September we will know what the stock clutch is capable of.
