weight on 06 4x4's hoovers around 7200,then we start adding on

SWB or LWB?

The last time I weighed my sons truck and mine his (QC SWB 4x4) was right 7000 lbs, mine (QCLWB 4x4) was about 7400 lbs with very little other than bolt ons. My truck on a normal trip with wife, bags, computers, tools, parts, etc, and a full tank of fuel is right a 8k.

No basically stock weight other than the different muffler. I weighed it on a Cat scale before I started pulling my current travel trailer back in '07.

My 2007, 5.9, G56, 4x4, swb with full fuel tank is around 7800.

My '07 is almost identical to yours and goes across the scales at 7500. I know you have a lot of add on equipment that I don't, but I wouldn't think it would be 300# difference. Makes me wonder how accurate the scales are from location to location and/or the actual % deviation they allow in their certification.

Yours is about right on an LWB QC if you subtracted your weight. The ones reporting heavy are not adjusting for additional weight; mud, add-ons, bodies, etc.

I have been amazed at how quickly it adds up.

My published curb weight is 7,259 but I haven't ever seen my truck below 8,000. I do have want to remove all the non-bolted stuff and see what she weighs this winter.

Between the added oil filter, fuel filters, coolant filter, CAI, front receiver, air compressor, Class V rear receiver, bed liner, fender flares, running boards, tool box, etc the weight goes up quick.

I haven't seen too much deviation between scales. I have 2 scales I use semi regularly and they are always within 50lbs which is pretty good.

No where in the original post does it specify either way. He asked, "What does my truck 2006 weigh?". I don't know what his weighs, you don't either. Only he will know after he weighs it.

Exactly, "What does my truck 2006 weigh?". Note he did not say truck and trailer, truck and camper, truck and load, or even truck and me. He said very specifically "What does my TRUCK weigh".

I know what a truck like his weighs because I have one and have weighed it multiple times, that is what my answer reflected. Never said I know exactly what it is.
