2006 - Check Engine at 1200 miles

At 1200 miles the check engine light as come on. I cannot see where the truck doesn't run right or shift right, but my little engine idiot light on the dash is lit.



It just came back from having the thermostat housing and gasket replaced because of a coolant leak. While it was there, they reflashed it for the long crank.



Needless to say, I am quickly becoming disenchanted with the new truck... .



Do I want to be my own warranty station on this truck??? I think not, if I can't get past the first oil change without visiting the dealer for service. Guess I am just used to the 96000+ miles on my vulnerable VP44, 53Block, 99 5-speed that I traded.

I wonder if the dealer might have left a connection loose or off while they were under the hood working. .

Oh yeh Tom, I can hear that 53 block cracking up here in Hagerstown. Don't worry, it will all work out. Pretty soon you will see Larry in one also.

I believe you are right about Larry in a new truck. I was talking to his boss tonight and evidently they test drove one at May Madness.

just a thought but my 05' did that and it was a loose fuel cap?

Looks like the Check Engine light was for the Intake Heater Relay. That is the part that the dealer is ordering anyway.
