California to IRP roll call

Irp 2006, Are You Going To Be There?

On-site camping reservations are now available for trailer/rv/motorhome’s only. No tents on the grounds. Please call 317-387-7341 and leave Mike Myslinski a message. He will call back in the order he receives the messages. These are no amenity spots, meaning no electricity, water, sewage, etc.

For those looking for camping with hook-ups or tent camping; http://www.raceviewcampground.com/ will be open for the Diesel Nationals.

I've never been to IRP but I plan on making this years event. Which camping area do most perfer? Hook-ups not required, just want to be as close as possible to all the action... day and night ;)

Looks like it will just be you and I! Steve St. Laurent will be there, Greg Long was hanging out there also last year.

I will be there as well, I just have to find time to call Mike before all the spots are gone!!

Eric, how can you forget our crew from last year?? Does the cowboy hat/pink thong ring a bell?? Nope, it wasn't me, just in the group I was with. :D No worries DoubleJ, our dancer sold his truck. ;)

Last year I was straight across from the drag strip light tree, I hope to get the same spot again this year. btw, either I was really hungry or those burgers from the stand were PDG!

Night time at the track was pretty quiet last year, except for the hum of generators running, all the action was down at the hotel. I went to the hotel Sat night until the police showed up the first time and made it back to the track before the gates were closed (if they were??).

I remember the hat and the thong. :{ I almost had that memory out of my head thanks for bringing that back up. :-laf I have to go take a shower now.

Always sorry to see someone get rid of their truck, but in that guyz case. Thank the Lord and praise Jesus. Maybe he will buy a Ford and hand out w/ those guyz. Just kiddin R-n-R.

Naw, he is a good man, just a 'bit' less shy than most people ... thankfully though, most people are more modest :D

haha ohhh if you guys only knew... .

Cant wait for this year!! Bill we had a awesome spot! As you know Im at the Days Inn this year, but we will have a good ol time at the campsite!!

Darn generators and there air conditioning!!!!

(wasnt me in the thong)

Ian

I also have a room at the Days Inn booked for this year, but a daytime retreat will be a good thing to have. I may dump the room if I can find a decent generator.

And don't forget Mike and I will be camping by the dyno too. ;) We need to have some more activity by the campers. Last year we were so beat we didn't feel like driving into town. Track sure was quiet...

Can you bring an ATV for getting around or is everything pretty much within walking distance? I know the Race View Campground allows ATV's but what about around the actual event?

Unfortunately a few idiots messed around with running something inside the bathrooms on the freshly painted floor, along with some other undesirable antics. So due to last years damage, only the race teams are permited to have golf cart, atv, etc... at the track this year :(

Figures. Usaully that's all it takes though (one bad apple) to take privilages away from everyone. I just finished reading on the Race View Campground that it's an additional $20 per ATV charge just to use them. I'll just hoof it I guess.
