2006 guage install

Hey what is the best wird to tap on the 06 for a keyed power for the pyro and where is everyone mounting the box for the ispro pyro

Here are three answers: the cigarette lighter (the one on the left is switched power), there is a wire that runs to the power pedal switch that's easier to get to if you have that option (don't remember the color but it's easy to find), and lastly look here for an underhood source: http://pacbrake.com/PDF/L2032.PDF (step 17).

You can remove the lighter by depressing a couple of tabs inside the socket and pulling it straight out. You don't get much slack but enough to tap into the switched hot wire.

Put the box anywhere the wires will conveniently reach and tie in place with cable ties.

Get a fuse tap and run a wire thru the firewall from the guage to the fuse box. This is the most effective and clean way to accomplish wiring, in my opinion. PM me if you would like pictures.

What THorn said... Additionally, maybe add a painless wiring kit from Geno's to help with those future mods... I've have seen that ISSPRO amp for the pyro in the engine compartment, however, I personally have always put it in the cab (on my strokers).

which fuse did you guys tap into for the dimmer switch. Thanks
