I have heard that I can't put 285 tires on this truck as it will mess up the shift points in the transmission. Wondering if it is true

285/75/17 are very popular sizes in these trucks. Good blend of height and width if you are looking for a larger tire. The downside is a hit in fuel mileage, increased stress on front end components and towing you will notice a difference in power and fuel economy.

I ran 285 Toyo MTs on my '05 with zero issues.
