I have a 2006 Ram 2500 crew cab short box with auto trans. Only thing added was exhaust brake (Cummins) trans kit, air bags on rear and gages. I pull a 40' toy hauler. Problem is I get low boost 15 to 20 Lbs. when temp gage gets to about 200 degrees. EGT's will hit 1500 degrees. Lean condition. Have the problem pulling or empty. Dodge reprogramed engine 2 times. Will make 26 Lbs before temp gage hits 200. Used to run stright up on 200 degrees, after Dodge recomended I check the themostate and found it opened at 190 I went to NAPA ( Sat. Afternoon) and got a new one. With both side by side in hot water they both opened at 190. The new one seemed to open a little more in my judgement. Now temp gage runs just to the left of 200 degrees. Same problem. Changed fuel filter engine has 58,000 miles on it. May of had this problem since day one as I added gages about a year ago. I live in Colorado at 4700' and have passes to pull. Power is fine before it gets to 200 degrees. Dodge says engine will cut back on fuel when temp. gets high, which causes lean condition. I do not think 200 is high. Need HELP. J Starr
