2006 megacab fails

My 2006 megacab (love my truck) has issues. just driving down the driveway and total power failure and it killed the truck. Would not start nothing worked. Finally decided to unhook the batteries just to see if it would reset. Sure enough when I reconnected the batteries it started and acted like nothing ever happened. Anyone have any suggestions as to what could be causing this?

Clean the battery terminals and cables, and also the grounds at the engine block.

Check your batteries, you may have a bad one causing one of the cables to corrode quicker than normal.
