Stuck Pushrod

New bolts when changing 5.9 CR injectors?

This past weekend I disconnected both batteries, cleaned the terminals, re-connected everything then started the truck and drove fine. Yesterday I went to start the truck and it turns over but does not start. The WTS light starts flashing the moment it would normally turn off and the wire between the battery on the passenger side and the coil just under the air intake gets so hot it starts to melt the insulation with the key turned on. I can not get my SMARTY to connect to read the codes, it just cycles through "turn the key off and press the arrow" and turn the key on and press the arrow".

sounds like the grid heater relay(s) are stuck on...you can disconnect them from the passenger side battery positive seminal and see if that stops the problem... The truck will start just fine without them!!

That makes perfect sense because I have been getting the grid heater idiot light off and on for some tome now. Is there anything else I need to be wary of?

If you live in a REALLY cold climate you should probably just replace the relays with new ones and reconnect the grid heaters.
That being said...my grid heater has been disconnected for years and the truck even starts right up around freezing, though granted where I live it is very rare that it gets that cold.

Thanks so much! That seems to have fixed my problem!!!

your welcome...thats what we're here for!!
