Radio will only work with the key in the accessory or on position. As soon as we start the vehicle we loose the radio. Worked on the way home from the dealer. Had a Myers snow plow installed and the radio went South. I am wondering if they tripped the TIPM ( electrical control center)

The plow is the High Flow unit, looks like the old style with the vertical motor, but larger pump & motor. We had the plow installed at a local welding and Truck Body Supply that does a lot of plow installations. Power for the PLow is tapped onto fuse numbers 32-HVAC/Adj Pedal and 33 Pwr-Ign-Run

As to where they tapped the fuses, I will have to check and get back to you. I know they were right in the middle of the fuse block. Those fuses were not blown.

just an idea, on the 06 models, do they have a security feature like the GM models now? I know when my dad swapped a battery in his suburban, he had to go to the dealer to get the radio unlocked due to the anti-theft device in it. Reason I ask is that if they disconnected the battery for the plow install, this also maybe a factor.

I have had the batteries disconnected several times on my 06 and have not had an issue with the radio. But, mine is the stock radio.

Control unit is the Touch Pad with Velcro for attachment. Didn't appear to have dash apart. Dealer thought the TIPM may be tripped. I spoke to them about unhooking the battery to see if it would reset. There concern would be if any codes were set they would be lost.
