Check for loose connections on the ground. You can get a wiring diagram from Dodge's body builder site. I'm guessing that it would be grounded either next to the driver's side battery or just behind the battery on the firewall. Some people have had problems with the grounds corroding due to battery acids, as well as having the threaded insert come loose from the sheet metal.

Any loose connection will cause the bulb to burn out quickly. (It causes the bulb to flicker on and off, which is much worse on the bulb that just being on).

Let us know what you find!

I had responded in the 911 post.

Grounds can be that finecky but if the grounds are OK, you may have a pin in a harness that is partially backed out or the wire to that pin may be a marginal crimp.

If there wasn't a good crimp, corrosion will build up between the wire and pin and cause higher resistance and ultimately the problem you are having.

I have had the same issue with my truck. Found it to be the plug connection at the pigtail. (think that made sense) The connectors were loose had to push them back in and take a pick tool and spread out the retainers. hope this helps. Solve my issue.
