I'm trying to figure out how the previous owner wired up his FASS system. . i can see the existing tank module is still connected,,,and they ran the FASS line separately all the way to the pump bypassing the stock filter can... they did leave the stock line right next to the CP3 inlet,,they simply put a nut and bolt to block the line so fuel doesn't come out,,,i'm not sure how they wired it,,but the FASS pump has it 12V wires going all the way to the fuse box,,where they grounded it to the body ground on the fender and 12V power in the fuse box with some kind of weird tap into a fuse which i believe is labelled as a spare,,,,problem is,,when i turn off the truck,,the pump keeps running until i open the door,,,not to convenient when you want to work in the truck with the key on,,i 'm also trying to figure out if the cut power to the stock pump or if it's dead headed in the stock plugged up line. . ,,i'd really like figure out a way to wire the pumps to a switch which i could use to toggle from the FASS and the stock pump as a fall back feature,,anybody have any ideas????,,any help would be greatly appreciated...

You need to add a relay in the system and use original fuel pump signal wire to activate the relay... Should be wiring instructions on FASSs sight.

Tapped into an accessory location that is active until the door is opened and just left the stock LP and harness hooked up to feed the FASS, maybe? Thats not a bad way to do it, makes sure the FASS is well fed and doesn't have to draw the fuel. Depends on whether they used a draw straw or just tapped the existing feed lines.

Maybe the just removed the pump from the cannister?

Depending on what was done now you have to figure out how to fix the mess. Never hsould have done a draw straw, never should have bypassed the OE filter cannister, should have used the stock LP harness to activate a relay for both pumps if they used the OE LP as a pusher.

It is fixable, just need to figure out the install.

yes,,they did use a draw straw. . and now i'm always wondering if i'll run out of fuel at 1/4 tank like is often posted on here... i was thinking of finding a key on hot wire to tap into for the FASS,,,any ideas. .

If it was my truck I would get a relay to power the FASS, pull the stock cannister and get a modified one from Galcier Diesel with 1/2 lines, cap the draw straw, and route the fuel back thru the OE cannister.

That would suffice for everything I use my trucks for. If the OE pump is still there and working I would consider using it for a pusher rather than the Galcier cannister. Should be able to wire 2 relays to power the pumps.

i would like to use the stock cannister and pump as a back up to the FAss,,,like having 2 separate fuel systems. . maybe re-connect the stock fuel line at the CP3,,since it's still right there but is capped with a nut and bolt,,,,is there a way to know or test if the stock intank pump is still there and functioning??,,that's the reason i was looking for the fuse or relay for the stock pump thinking they may have simply cut power to the stock pump,,,because if they didnt wouldn't the stock pump kill itself trying to pump fuel through the stock fuel line???any ideas,,,

Disconnect the fuel line at the cannister and see if it will pump fuel. If it does the pump is still there and couple of valves will allow you to keep the OE pump and route around the FASS if it dies.
